From Farm…to Fork Freshness is our passion! At Springdale Farms, we grow and harvest over 35 delectable crops…and delight in seeing them spring up, lush and full, each season. Vegetables, fruits and herbs, we have them all! What's "Jersey Fresh" for the month of August Stop in and find Moreton tomatoes and Tomatoberries available now. Moreton is an older variety reintroduced this year, much as the Ramapo was last year. The Tomatoberry gets its name for its unique shape and sweetness. Of course we also have field tomatoes as well. Ramapos are expected to be in late August, along with a few other varieties such as Granny's Kitchen Tomatoes and Heirlooms. Jersey corn (White Sweet) and Mirai are also now available. Grown here! Other fresh vegetables from our fields currently now ready include golden, white and purple cauliflower; green and golden zucchini; yellow summer squash; okra; and cucumbers and pickles. Jersey blueberries and peaches are now in! Also farm fresh from our own fields are raspberries and blackberries. Fresh Baked Goods Our bakery is our pride and joy…Smell those fresh, apple cider donuts coming warm and plump from our kitchen each and every morning! We’re famous for our home baked pies…but we also have freshly baked breads, muffins, cakes, cookies…you get the picture! Pie of the Month Well…actually with over 60 flavors (and more being thought up every day!) we could almost call this Pies of the Month. As the farm season changes, so do our pies. In addition to all the traditional favorites, we offer special flavors that just seem to “go” with the season. Delicate fruit pies in the spring, our famous tomato pie in the summer, lots of vegetable quiche pies in the fall…see what we mean? As crops change, so do we…in so many ways. Our Pie of the Month for August* is Peach Blueberry.* Find That Perfect Gift Interested in a special gift? A delicate item for home or garden? Some good cheese with a bottle of wine?
